About Helen’s Haven

Helen’s Haven is a homelessness community project that offers crisis and transitional housing coupled with a range of onsite support services. These include drug & alcohol rehabilitation, mental health support, training and employment opportunities, material aid, and essential life amenities such as food, laundry, and bathroom facilities. Our personalized support approach helps individuals of all ages and backgrounds overcome the barriers to accessing the services they need to transition out of homelessness.

The concept of Helen’s Haven was developed to address the many unnecessary obstacles that the homeless face when seeking assistance. By providing a safe space and personalized support, we empower individuals to regain their self-worth and independence.

Investment Opportunities with Goodna Street Life Inc

The GSL Housing Development Fund is an initiative by Goodna Street Life Inc, aimed at developing affordable housing and supported accommodation, and creating pathways to home ownership. Our goal is to expand our model beyond Ipswich to Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast, using profits to fund additional services and programs.

Why Invest?

Goodna Street Life Inc is the largest independent Specialist Homelessness Service in Ipswich, a registered not-for-profit charity, and a broadly accessed and respected social enterprise offering a range of homeless support, and community services, including:

  • Crisis accommodation
  • Food support through our food bank
  • Drug and alcohol counseling, psychotherapy, and art therapy
  • Skills training and employment pathways in partnership with RTOs and the Queensland Government
  • Community events and volunteering opportunities
  • Property management and tenancy support through GSL Realty

Investment Models

To further the availability of emergency housing amidst the current homelessness crisis, Goodna Street Life Inc is establishing property schemes to enable investment in specialized homelessness and supported accommodation:

  • Unlisted Property Schemes: Targets smaller developments on sites less than 1000m². Private investors can purchase units within a dedicated trust, with returns based on rental income.
  • Listed Property Scheme: Allows public investment in the GSL Housing Development Fund, focusing on large-scale projects. The scheme aims to build 500 affordable homes by 2030, providing ethical investment opportunities and pathways to ownership for residents.
